Russell Westbrook has likely played his last game for the Los Angeles Clippers, but where will the nine-time All-Star go next?

According to Shams Charania, per Evan Sidery, the Clippers are hard at work trying to find a team that will take on Westbrook’s $4 million salary next season.

Apparently, the Denver Nuggets “remain a strong favorite” to acquire Westbrook.

The Clippers and Russell Westbrook still plan to part ways this offseason, per @ShamsCharania (https://t.co/LBLrUZsmjO).

Westbrook posted 11.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game last season for the Clippers.

He seemed to be a good fit with the team and was much happier than he was during his time with their southland rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.

But apparently, Los Angeles wasn’t his final destination and it’s time for him to move on again.

The Clippers have multiple sharpshooters on their roster so they don’t necessarily need Westbrook’s particular skill set, but do the Nuggets?

They just lost Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, a role player who will leave a big void in the roster.

Westbrook makes sense as a suitable replacement for him, but he comes with his own set of problems too.

He can be inconsistent at times and often makes some questionable choices on the court.

Is he really the sort of player who could get the Nuggets back to the NBA Finals?

If the Nuggets do acquire Westbrook, will they sign him to a one-year deal or try to secure him for multiple seasons?

It’s been years since Westbrook has spent several seasons with one team but maybe he will finally settle down with the Nuggets.
