Aaron Rodgers fell to injury during the New York Jets‘ opening game, immediately putting his status in jeopardy.
As the Jets await the final results of his MRI, they are in crisis mode trying to figure out what to do next.
According to Albert Breer’s most recent report, members of the Jets staff are slated to meet and discuss the current situation.
Jets QB Aaron Rodgers will have an MRI this morning, with the team’s decision-makers set to meet to discuss post-Rodgers plans for the position (they’ll at least need to add depth) at some point today.

He mentioned the Jets could have to add another piece to their offense as a depth option.
Zach Wilson appears to be their starter for the time being, the team’s former first-round draft pick.
He’ll be allowed to be QB1 throughout practice this week as they prepare for their Week 2 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
If the team determines Wilson is not the quarterback they want to move forward with, they do have a few options.
After all, there’s a reason they brought Rodgers in after taking Wilson with such high draft capital.
Several available free agents could be serviceable fill-ins for Rodgers and Wilson, should the Jets go that route.
Carson Wentz and Nick Foles come to mind as players that could provide an immediate impact.
Other teams across the league have tradable backups who might be able to fill in if needed.
For a team that entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations, this is a worst-case scenario.
Rodgers was supposed to save the team, helping break their playoff drought.
How will the uncertainty at the position change the way they go about the rest of the season?
