The Sacramento Kings suffered a major scare last night, and not because of the scoreboard.
Domantas Sabonis was in big pain after Draymond Green stomped on his chest and some thought he could be forced to miss some time.
However, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski just reported that he underwent X-rays in his ribs and lungs, and the results came out negative, so it seems like he avoided any serious injury.
X-rays returned negative on Sabonis’ sternum and it appears he’s avoided injury, source tells ESPN. He will undergo additional testing on Tuesday as a precaution. https://t.co/7gmm172EG8

Moreover, Woj said that the Lithuanian big man will undergo further testing as a precaution.
Sabonis got hurt in a bit of a scramble play.
He fell to the ground and grabbed Green by the leg.
Green shook him off and stomped on his chest, leading to a flagrant foul 2 call and his subsequent ejection.
Some fans argue that Sabonis should’ve also been ejected after trying to hurt Green, but that wasn’t the case.
He was dominating the Dubs’ big men prior to that incident, getting both Green and Kevon Looney in foul trouble and visually frustrating the Warriors on both ends of the floor.
The Kings are now up 2-0 over the reigning champions, and will head to the Bay Area for Games 3 and 4, trying to close out the series as quickly as possible to focus on their next rival.
Needless to say, they’ll need their All-Star big man running and gunning to do that, as the Warriors are a much better team at home than on the road, so they’ll need to be at their best to finish them off.
