Over the last few weeks, there’s been a lot of trade buzz swirling about the Chicago Bulls and the team’s intentions, as the storied franchise has continued to struggle during the 2023-24 NBA season despite their efforts to turn things around.
Even before the season began, rumors surfaced that the team would blow up the roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline in February if Zach LaVine and company were unable to get things back on track in Chicago.
As of right now, the Bulls wouldn’t even make the Play-In Tournament if it started today, with Chicago sporting an ugly record of 8-14, which puts them in 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
That said, it seems inevitable that some major moves are on the horizon for the Bulls, with Alex Caruso being one of their best bargaining chips ahead of February’s trade deadline.
However, it appears the Bulls are not jumping at the opportunity to trade the talented two-way player, according to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, via NBACentral.
The Chicago Bulls are ‘hesitant’ to trade arguably their ‘greatest success story’ in Alex Caruso, per @KCJHoop

Even though the Bulls view Caruso as a great success story and the kind of player that they want to keep around to help build the culture in Chicago, a lot will change over the course of a few months, as the team will no doubt receive many trade proposals for the one-time NBA champion.
Along with Caruso, there’s been a lot of buzz about DeMar DeRozan and LaVine, who could also be on the way out, or potentially the players that are traded rather than the 29-year-old.
