Are the Boston Celtics about to finally make good on all their potential and promise?
They are now up 2-0 over the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals, just two wins away from claiming their 18th banner and reigning supreme over the rest of the league.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that the team’s desire and need to win the championship has been one of the league’s biggest storylines this year.
He said the money the team has tied up in players and their sky-high expectations have been hanging over them all season.
Many people believe that this team has to win a title this year to show that they truly work.
Now they are closer than ever to making their dreams a reality.

The term “championship or bust” has been thrown around a lot when speaking about the Celtics this year.
With the wonderfully deep roster, the expensive contracts, and the track record they have, the Celtics have no excuse for not taking home a ring.
Critics of the team have been repeating that again and again over the last few months and the Celtics have clearly been listening.
They have been the best team in the NBA since the start of the season and have basically sailed to the Finals.
They obviously have what it takes to win it all but that doesn’t mean a title is guaranteed.
If Dallas rallies and comes back and this team doesn’t reach its ultimate goal, there will be a ton of questions.
Will the front office break the team up?
Will certain players not get maximum contract extensions?
They are very close but if they don’t get the job done, the Celtics could be thrown into disarray.
