The Utah Jazz have been one of the most talked about teams in the NBA during the early stages of free agency.
Many fans and analysts believe they could be on the verge of blowing their team up, perhaps restarting with a plethora of draft picks and young players.
However, a recent report has called that into question, as it relates to the current status of Lauri Markkanen.
Markkanen has been the most significant player mentioned when it comes to trade talks, and for a time, it appeared that the Jazz were strongly considering moving on from him.
However, as Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer reported, there is now only a “10 percent chance” that Markkanen will be traded.

Things have seemingly changed a lot over the past few days for the Jazz, and at the moment, it’s unclear why the tides have shifted.
Perhaps the Jazz will use Markkanen as a cornerstone piece for the foreseeable future, and if they’re able to add other marquee players to the roster, they might have a chance to compete moving forward.
However, the Western Conference proved difficult last year, and given the amount of change the teams atop the conference have undergone thus far, it could be difficult for teams like the Jazz to compete in the 2024-2025 season.
It will be interesting to see how every team shapes up next year, including the Jazz, who now find themselves with more decisions to make over the next few months.
