The Tennessee Titans came into the offseason needing to address several needs across it’s roster after a disappointing 2023 NFL season.
The Titans floundered to a 6-11 record and finished last in the AFC South, prompting the organization to make some big changes.
Tennessee let go of it’s former head coach Mike Vrabel in exchange for Brian Callahan, a telling shift in offensive philosophy.
Callahan was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals and the front office went out and got him weapons in Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard to pair with DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks.
Defensively, the secondary needed a massive facelift and the team made a splash when they traded for Kansas City Chiefs star defensive back L’Jarius Sneed.
Sneed was widely considered to be one of the best cornerbacks in the trade market and the Titans paid him like one via Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report.
“Here are the terms on L’Jarius Sneed’s new contract extension with the Titans: $19M APY over 4 years $55M guaranteed,” Schultz reported.

Sneed’s average annual value and guarantee amount make him one of the highest-paid DBs in the league and rightfully so after the season he had with the Chiefs.
Sneed was one of the best at his position in coverage and in the run game and gives the Titans a true No. 1 cornerback on the outside.
Tennessee’s aggressive moves in free agency signal they are serious about competing for a playoff spot next season and there’s some legitimate optimism that they’ll be in the mix in a crowded AFC.
