The Indiana Pacers didn’t waste a single second before locking up their most important free agent.
Pascal Siakam was always expected to return and run it back with Rick Carlisle’s team, but that’s all but official now.
Considering that, Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports shared the details of Siakam’s new deal with the Pacers.
The former Toronto Raptors star will get a four-year, $189.5 million max extension, which translates to $42.3 million in his first year, $45.7 million in his second year, $49.1 million in his third season, and as much as $52.5 million in his final campaign in 2027-28.
Here’s a look at Pascal Siakam’s four-year, $189.5 million max extension with the Pacers:
2024-25 = $42.3 million
2025-26 = $45.7 million
2026-27 = $49.1 million
2027-28 = $52.5 million

Sidery adds that the contract will cover Siakam’s entire prime and run until his 34-year-old season.
This is a hefty number, but he earned every single penny of that deal with his play on both ends of the floor for this team.
Siakam has led the team in scoring and rebounding since being traded, and he has shut down all doubts regarding his potential fit next to Myles Turner.
The Pacers’ jumbo frontcourt was solid on defense and efficient on offense, as they can both run the floor and stretch the offense with their shooting.
Siakam is also a willing and intelligent passer, which makes him perfect for Rick Carlisle’s run-and-gun offense.
The Pacers are a young and deep team that should be very good for years to come.
However, all young teams also need veterans to provide some balance and mentor the young players, and Siakam made a positive impact in the locker room right out of the gate.
