The Boston Celtics were without Kristaps Porzingis during Wednesday night’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Of course, they ended up not needing him because they beat the Dallas Mavericks once again, but they are hoping he can return from his rare injury very soon.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that there is a chance Porzingis will be cleared to play in Game 4.
He is working out, being monitored, and moving well, but the Celtics won’t decide on his availability until Friday.

Porzingis has been a great addition to the Celtics all season but, sadly, injuries once again became a problem in the playoffs.
He missed several weeks, returned for the start of the Finals, and then got hurt again.
This latest injury was a very curious one, something unique that is rarely seen.
The good news is that Porzingis has been spotted moving around and seemingly looks comfortable on his feet.
Still, the decision to play is not left up to him and he has to wait for the green light from Boston’s medical staff.
At this point, the Celtics hold a massive 3-0 lead over the Mavericks, and history suggests the Larry O’Brien Trophy is theirs to win.
They could probably wrap up the Finals without Porzingis but the big man wants to play and is doing everything in his power to get back on the court.
Game 4 could be a pivotal moment in his career and could earn him his first championship ring so there is no doubt he wants to be as involved as possible.
All Boston fans will be paying close attention to any updates from the team before Friday’s Game 4.
