Expectations had never been higher for the Chicago Bears entering a season.

This will be the first time in franchise history that they have a potential star at the quarterback position, and Caleb Williams will have to shoulder a heavy load.

The USC product is one of the most hyped prospects in recent NFL history, and while it won’t be easy to live up to the lofty expectations, the Bears are going the extra mile to make sure he has everything he needs to succeed.

With that in mind, NFL insider Courtney Cronin made an appearance on SportsCenter to talk about Williams’ performances in training camp thus far.

Cronin reported that Williams had been up and down, which is to be expected for a rookie quarterback getting to play at NFL speed for the first time ever.

She claimed that Williams didn’t look that good early on, but he was able to bounce back in a big way later, showing great footwork, accuracy, and timing and going 13-for-15 in 7-on-7 drills.

The talent is clearly there, but no one should expect any quarterback to dominate right out of the gate.

It’s more usual to see a Bryce Young rookie season than a C.J. Stroud rookie season.

Williams has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks this game has ever seen, and the Bears will give him many opportunities to fulfill his potential.
