Insider Reveals How Panthers Could Make NFL History This Season

Even with the seemingly-low expectations, the Carolina Panthers still had quite a disappointing season in 2023.

Their offense was one of the worst in the league, and while plenty of that had to do with Bryce Young’s struggles and growing pains, their evident lack of talent also played a big part in it.

That’s why they went after an offensive and quarterback guru to be their next head coach in Dave Canales.

And while developing his quarterback was the first order of business, he knew that he needed more help to be in a position to succeed.

Considering that, the Panthers went heavy on offense in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they’re now in a position to make history.

As pointed out by Eric Galko on Twitter, the Panthers could become the first team to have a rookie running back, wide receiver, and tight end lead their position group in yards.

The #Panthers offense has a chance to do something historic this season.

Carolina could be the 1st team to have a rookie at RB, WR and TE lead their position group in yards.

Galko added that just six teams in the past ten seasons have had a rookie leader at two skill positions, but no team in NFL history has had three.

He also claimed that even though only WR Xavier Legette was a first-round pick, RB Jonathon Brooks and TE JT Sanders all have clear first-round traits, adding that there would be no shortage of opportunities for them right out of the gate.

The Panthers are still a long way from postseason contention, but if Young shows glimpses of the player he was in college, their offense could be very fun to watch next season.
