After making a blockbuster trade to acquire superstar guard James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Clippers started to spiral out of control and seemed to have made a terrible mistake in putting multiple star players together in hopes of it working out right away.
Although it initially looked like a disaster in Los Angeles, the new-look Clippers were able to turn things around, with head coach Tyronn Lue figuring out how to play Harden, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Russell Westbrook together.
As a result of the star-studded Clippers’ success, Lue’s squad is sporting a record of 37-19 coming into tonight’s matchup against the division-rival Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
Unfortunately, the Clippers won’t have George in the lineup tonight when they face LeBron James and company, as he’s dealing with a knee issue, but it won’t be something that will bother him long-term, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
“I’m told Paul George will be back soon,” Wojnarowski said. “Sore left knee. I was told that it’s feeling better each day. He’s only missed four games this season. That’s been such a big part of this Clippers renaissance, as this group has been healthy, and the expectation is that Paul George will be back soon.”

Ever since George and Leonard joined forces in Los Angeles, the main problem has been the health of both superstars, as they never seemed to be able to be consistently healthy.
Despite this hiccup, both players have been available more often than not for the Clippers this season, leading to the team being a legitimate title contender.
