It looks like James Harden is once again committed to not playing with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Harden has missed out on all the preseason games as well as multiple practices.

Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the trend is continuing: he said that Harden did not attend practice again on Thursday.

At this point, it is very clear that Harden is back to playing hardball with the team in hopes of being traded.

How much worse will this situation get?

When Harden first announced his desire to be traded back at the start of the summer, many people thought that a deal would come through in no time at all.

But Sixers president Daryl Morey didn’t play along with Harden’s plan and the team has been sitting on his contract ever since.

Most fans assumed that Harden wouldn’t budge and would make life miserable for the team and its front office.

Then he showed up at the start of training camp, played with the team, and appeared in shape and ready to go.

That didn’t last long and now Harden is again away from the team, with some reports saying he was in Houston the other night with no intention of doing anything on behalf of the Sixers.

Meanwhile, any negotiations with the Los Angeles Clippers have slowed to a halt and it seems very unlikely that they will start again any time soon.

If Harden continues to sit out of practices and games, it will jeopardize his season as well as the season for the Sixers.

Morey and his staff are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
