NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has repeatedly said he wants to expand the league and reach every corner of the globe.
Part of his plans include holding multiple international games in foreign markets every year.
For the upcoming season, the NBA has scheduled a game in Mexico City, which will be held on November 2.
On Twitter Friday morning, Marc J. Spears revealed that the game will feature the Miami Heat and Washington Wizards.

It remains to be seen how good or bad the Heat and Wizards will be at that point next season.
Both teams could make some massive changes this summer and could be looking much different when the season kicks off in October.
But one thing is very clear: the NBA is interested in building a strong relationship with Mexico City.
Could that be because they are planning to start a team there in a few seasons?
Along with Las Vegas, Seattle, and others, Mexico City has been rumored to be a possible expansion city.
The NBA already has one team in Canada, so why wouldn’t it start one in Mexico as well?
A team in Mexico City would bring in millions of fans and would go a long way toward truly turning the NBA into an international league.
Holding games there every year might be a sign that Silver and the league are contemplating a Mexico City team.
Some fans believe that it would have made more sense to have the San Antonio Spurs or Phoenix Suns play in Mexico next season because of their proximity to the country.
But no matter who is playing there, the NBA is making it obvious that it wants to keep working with Mexico City.
