The Milwaukee Bucks had championship dreams when they traded for future Hall-of-Fame guard Damian Lillard last summer, but those dreams gradually dissolved as this season went along.
They had to endure defensive issues, a lack of team speed, and a coaching change, and it all culminated with them losing in the first round of the playoffs to the Indiana Pacers.
Milwaukee has some work to do this offseason if they are to become title contenders again, as they have an aging roster that also lacks some depth.
One of their bench players, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, has a torn Achilles and will have to undergo surgery as a result, per Shams Charania.

Antetokounmpo is the older brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and while he has only gotten spot duty for the Bucks over the last five seasons, he is someone who is capable of contributing on occasion.
It was just three years ago that the Bucks won the NBA championship, and at the time, it looked like they were positioned for at least one more run at another ring.
But injuries to Khris Middleton somewhat torpedoed the previous two seasons, and when Lillard was made available by the Portland Trail Blazers, they jumped at the opportunity.
They’re one of the oldest, if not the oldest, teams in the NBA, and with today’s game based upon speed and early offense, they will need to get younger in order to get better.
With new powers in the Eastern Conference such as the Pacers and New York Knicks, the road back to the top for Milwaukee may not be an easy one.
