The New England Patriots have seemingly found their quarterback.
Now, it’s all about surrounding him with the pieces he needs to be at his best.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that they’ve been trying to get star WR Brandon Aiyuk for months now.
The Niners had been reluctant to even weigh trade offers for their All-Pro wide receiver, but that no longer seems to be the case.
Multiple reports state that the Niners are now listening to offers for Aiyuk, and the Patriots are still trying to make a run at him.
Per NFL insider Josina Anderson, the Patriots have been trying to get him for months now, but they haven’t upgraded their offer thus far.
The offer hasn’t been disclosed, but Anderson claims that the terms remain unchanged.
I’m told the trade terms that the #49ers have on the table from the #Patriots for WR Brandon Aiyuk remain unchanged, per source. It’s the same terms New England has been offering for a while.

A report by Mike Reiss of ESPN showed that the Patriots had been trying to get Aiyuk since February, but added the process had been rather slow.
Drake Maye isn’t likely to play much — if at all — during his rookie season, but the Patriots are still doing the right thing by trying to get him more weapons for when he’s actually ready to play.
Moreover, they’re one of the few teams that could realistically meet Aiyuk’s steep salary demands, should that be the case.
Then again, the Niners can also opt to hold onto him and not trade him, as he’s still under contract for another season, so we’ll have to keep an eye on this story in the following days or even weeks.
