The Golden State Warriors are serious about acquiring Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz, but do they have what it takes to make a deal happen?

According to Shams Charania, per NBACentral, the Warriors are offering Moses Moody, multiple first-round picks, multiple pick swaps, and multiple second-round picks to the Jazz in exchange for Markkanen.

However, the Jazz wants Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, and Brandin Podziemski, along with draft picks.

So, will both teams get what they want?

It would be shocking to see the Warriors part ways with Moody, Kuminga, and Podziemski.

Although they are willing to say goodbye to Moody, they are very fond of Kuminga and Podziemski.

Markkanen would bring a lot to the team but Golden State would lose a ton if they cut ties with all three players, along with draft picks.

But this isn’t a surprise because the Jazz plays hardball during all negotiations.

They also still really like Markkanen so they are content to stay put unless a fantastic deal comes their way.

They will either get everything they want for the star or keep him next season.

It is now time to see just how much the Warriors want Markkanen.

In the right hands and with the right team, he could be one of the biggest stars in the league.

But would it be worth it to sign him if it requires getting rid of a bunch of young talent?

The Warriors have a tough decision to make and the negotiations are sure to continue.
