Kevin Durant could be a huge help for Team USA in the upcoming Paris Olympics but he hasn’t been able to play with his squad for weeks due to a strained calf.
But Durant is now preparing to play, just days before the Olympics begin.
According to Shams Charania, Durant is expected to return to Team USA practice today while the group is in London.
It’s also expected that he could make his debut with the team in one of the exhibition games in the days ahead, either against South Sudan on Saturday or Germany on Monday.

Durant is a major player for the team and is USA men’s leading point scorer in Olympic history.
That means that he is obviously going to be a huge help for Team USA and could assist them in achieving the goal of earning a gold medal.
The team has been doing very well without Durant and has had some strong, promising wins in exhibition games over the last couple of weeks.
These games are a chance for players like LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Steph Curry, and others to find their chemistry and get ready to take on their Olympic opponents.
There is a slew of great talent on the roster which means that expectations are sky-high.
If the Americans head home with anything short of a gold medal, fans will be disappointed.
Durant just had another stellar season, averaging 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game for his Phoenix Suns with a strong 52.3% field goal percentage.
He is hoping to bring numbers like that to the Olympics on his team’s path to the gold.
