Are we approaching the end of an era for the Chicago Bulls?

There is reporting that the Bulls are open to the idea of trading away Zach LaVine after years of refusing to deal him to another team.

With that news comes speculation that even more changes are coming.

According to Bulls writer Darnell Mayberry, per NBACentral, the Bulls could be on the verge of a substantial blow-up.

“One league source told me this week the Bulls won’t have the same roster in a month. Change feels imminent in Chicago,” Mayberry said.

The Bulls might look different by Christmas, but just how different?

LaVine is obviously going to be on the trading block but what other players could be parting ways with the team?

Will the Bulls sit tight after they trade LaVine or will they send away other stars?

How safe are Jevon Carter, Alex Caruso, Andre Drummond, Nikola Vucevic, and others?

Is there any chance that they will say goodbye to DeMar DeRozan, who has long been envisioned as the centerpiece of the team?

All of this depends on how big of a rebuilding process the Bulls are prepared for.

Does Chicago want to win now or accumulate a ton of draft picks and other assets for a long-term future?

The Bulls could get a few important assets in return for LaVine and maybe that will be enough for them.

Or perhaps they will really swing for the fences and start a major rebuilding process.

If Mayberry is right, the Bulls are about to undergo a transformation but it’s not clear how big of a transformation it’ll be.
