The Los Angeles Clippers made a big announcement on Wednesday when they inked a contract extension with head coach Ty Lue.

With five years and $70 million, Lue is now going to be making a lot of money with the Clippers over the next several seasons.

But just because Lue is signed doesn’t mean the Clippers are done making moves in the offseason.

Speaking on “Run It Back,” Shams Charania said that the team already has Kawhi Leonard locked in for three more seasons and is now targeting extensions for both Paul George and James Harden.

Charania said the front office is eager to retain both stars, but at what cost?

“Ty Lue’s extension is done with the Clippers – 5 Years – $70M”

“Kawhi Leonard is already locked in for the next 3 years… They want both [James Harden & Paul George] back”

George and Harden bring a lot to the team but they also come with hefty price tags.

For the last few months, there have been many rumors about George possibly leaving in the summer, possibly to the Philadelphia 76ers or another team.

As for Harden, his future with the Clippers also hasn’t been entirely clear.

He has only been with the team for a single season and it has had a lot of mixed results.

Harden himself has played well, scoring 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game, but the team once again faced serious troubles in the playoffs and didn’t make it through the first round.

He has never been one to shy away from jumping ship and joining a new team, so will Harden scoff at the idea of re-signing with the Clippers?

Los Angeles has plans for their summer and they definitely have a desire to keep both George and Harden, but are they willing to pay what they are worth and do both players want to return?
