After winning seven more games than they did during the 2022-23 NBA season, the New Orleans Pelicans seemed to be a team on the rise, with star forward Zion Williams finally getting healthy and Brandon Ingram potentially turning the corner.
Unfortunately for the Pelicans, Williamson went down with an injury during the Play-In Tournament and couldn’t help the team as it advanced to the first round of the NBA playoffs to take on the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
As expected, the Pelicans couldn’t compete with the Thunder without Williamson on the floor and what was even more disappointing about this first-round exit was that Ingram may have shown his true colors as he failed to make an impact for New Orleans in the postseason.
With the Pelicans having no desire to sign Ingram to a lucrative long-term deal, the consensus around the league has been that they’ll trade him this summer in hopes of bringing back the right pieces to the puzzle to compete in the Western Conference moving forward.
According to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, Ingram will definitely be on the move during the NBA offseason via NBA Central.
“Brandon Ingram is definitely somebody I expect to be moved this summer,” Haynes said.

Although Ingram is a talented scorer, he hasn’t lived up to being the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft, as he’s struggled to be consistent and seems to have hit his ceiling in the NBA.
However, there are plenty of teams around the league that could use his scoring and will likely pick up the phone this summer to express interest in trading for him.
