The Utah Jazz know they won’t be able to compete at the highest level any time soon.
They also know their chances of keeping Lauri Markkanen in free agency are quite slim if they don’t start winning some games.
That means the most logical outcome is a trade, and there should be no shortage of suitors for their star player.
For weeks, the Golden State Warriors have been rumored to be interested in his services.
And while that hasn’t translated into a deal just yet, both sides have reportedly had some positive talks about it.
Nonetheless, the Jazz have set a steep price for the Finnish forward, as they should.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Danny Ainge has set his sights on Brandin Podziemski (via Chef Curry Parody).
Shams said
-Utah are focused on Podziemski
-Warriors could get Lauri with with Podz and 3-4 Unprotected First round picks

Talking during the NBA Summer League, Charania revealed that the Jazz are locked in on Podziemski and three to four first-round picks and/or unprotected pick swaps.
While they also like Jonathan Kuminga, Charania states that Podziemski is the one who could get the deal done.
Charania adds that the Warriors would only consider moving Podziemski if they got to keep the picks and vice versa, and that has been a deal-breaker in negotiations thus far because no side is willing to cave.
Even so, the renowned insider believes they will pick up talks sooner rather than later and didn’t rule out the possibility of a blockbuster deal taking place and the former Chicago Bulls forward taking his talents to the Bay area.
