The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t a top-seeded team in the Western Conference in the 2022-23 NBA season.
Despite finishing the season as the seventh seed in the West, the Los Angeles Lakers surpassed all expectations by reaching the Western Conference Finals.
However, the Lakers’ dream run was put on halt by none other than Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, as the Purple and Gold were swept by the eventual NBA champions.
Speaking of the Denver Nuggets, Bruce Brown Jr. played a vital role in the team’s success last season as a solid role player.
Keeping that in mind, it’s no surprise that NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the Lakers are focused on trying to trade for Brown Jr. via Coach Rome on Twitter.
“From the time that the Lakers lost to Denver, got eliminated in the Conference Finals last year, there’s been one player they have really been focused and trying to acquire, Bruce Brown,” Wojnarowski said.
woj just hinted at the lakers being extremely interested in bruce brown
he even went as far as to say they tried trading for him while he was a pacer

Wojnarowski pointed out that the Lakers have been trying to trade for the highly-rated role player when he joined the Indiana Pacers this past offseason.
While the Lakers failed to reach a deal with the Pacers, the Toronto Raptors acquired the veteran guard as a part of the blockbuster trade around Pascal Siakam.
It’s obvious that the Raptors are inevitably heading toward a rebuild after trading away OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam.
Keeping that in mind, the Raptors could be open to a possibility to trade Bruce Brown Jr. as well.
After all, he has proven useful come playoff time, and there are several teams in the league that could use his services, including the Los Angeles Lakers.
Moreover, with the Lakers still being the 10th seed in the Western Conference, it’s evident that the organization will try to shake things up around the NBA Trade Deadline.
