The Milwaukee Bucks can’t seem to catch a break as they lost Game 3 to the Indiana Pacers after fighting back to overcome a large first-half deficit.
Milwaukee forced overtime thanks to Khris Middleton, who had one of the best games of his career, but it wasn’t enough as Indiana weathered the storm to claim the win and go up 2-1 in the series.
Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks are missing a two-way force that can solve a lot of problems that the Pacers’ defense is presenting.
However, complicating matters is the health of Damian Lillard, who appeared to hurt himself in the fourth quarter.
Lillard was visibly struggling to move on the floor and he was later diagnosed with an Achilles strain.
It appears that Lillard has been dealing with the issue for weeks and is in jeopardy of missing Game 4, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.
“Lillard has played through significant soreness in his Achilles tendon in recent weeks, and reaggravated the injury late in fourth quarter of Game 3 loss Friday night. Bucks now facing likelihood of playing without Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo,” Charania reported.

Lillard proved his toughness by gutting through the injury, but all signs point to him missing Game 4.
Without both of their stars, Milwaukee is likely looking at a 3-1 series deficit and being well on their way to another first-round exit.
The Bucks will have several uncomfortable decisions to make in the offseason if they do end up bowing out early, but for now it’s just unfortunate to see Lillard’s first year with the team end on a sour note.
