The Golden State Warriors have had a terrible start to the 2023-24 NBA season.
Sure, they were 6-2 at one point during the season, but since then, the Dubs have fallen to a 6-7 record.
They are officially below the .500 mark as they hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
A key reason behind the Warriors’ immense struggles is the poor form of Klay Thompson.
So much so that NBA insider Vincent Goodwill claimed he has never seen Klay have such a disastrous start to a season in his entire career, via SiriusXM NBA Radio on Twitter.
“I don’t ever recall him having as slow of a start to a season like he’s having now,” Goodwill said about Thompson.

Thompson is usually regarded as one of the best shooters of all time.
In fact, many believe that he’s only behind his longtime teammate Stephen Curry on the list of the best shooters of all time.
But this season, Thompson has struggled to play well in the first 13 games of the season.
He has averaged just 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game for the Warriors.
On top of that, Thompson has shot just 40.1% from the field and 32.9% from the three-point line.
It’s undoubtedly a slow start to the season by his standards.
As a result, the Warriors are struggling to win games.
Considering this is a contract year for Thompson, fans had huge expectations from him.
Many even believed that Thompson would have one of the best seasons of his career.
However, so far this season, Thompson is averaging a career-low in most parts of the box score.
