After acquiring superstar forward Kevin Durant last season and bringing in Bradley Beal ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season, the Phoenix Suns were thought to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference and perhaps the biggest threat to the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

Unfortunately, things haven’t gone as planned for the new-look Suns, with the team being only two games above .500 right now at 12-10 and Beal playing in only three games for the team thus far due to injuries.

Before the Suns acquired Beal during the offseason, one of the biggest concerns about the talented scorer was his injury issues, as he’s always struggled to stay healthy during his career.

Fortunately for Phoenix, it appears that Beal is nearing his return to the basketball floor, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic via Legion Hoops.

Beal is targeting a return to action on Tuesday vs. the Warriors.

As long as he can stay healthy, Beal should give the Suns a considerable boost and help this team realize its true potential as a legitimate title contender in the Western Conference.

If the NBA playoffs started today, the Suns would be fighting to stay alive in the Play-In Tournament, which obviously isn’t where the team wants to be after making so many game-changing moves in order to compete with the best of the best in the West.

Fortunately for Frank Vogel and company, Durant is having an MVP-caliber year in Phoenix and Booker, who has also struggled with injuries this year, is playing at a high level as well.

They could be a significant threat in the West if this team can put it all together moving forward.
