James Harden continues his standoff with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Following his tour defaming Daryl Morey, the former MVP decided to skip the team’s Media Day.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the team could choose to fine him for that, although there haven’t been any reports about that.

Moreover, Woj revealed that the Sixers will now leave for Colorado to hold training camp at the Colorado State University campus.

Harden could be subject to a fine for missing media day. The Sixers leave for Colorado later today for several days of training camp at Colorado State University. The Sixers and Clippers have talked recently but there doesn’t appear to be any traction on a trade, sources said. https://t.co/Pt8SjSwjfW

He also stated that the Sixers had held talks with the Los Angeles Clippers regarding a potential trade for Harden, but nothing significant thus far.

Harden is reportedly adamant about playing for the Clippers, and he’s even had talks with Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Kawhi Leonard about it.

The Clippers, however, don’t seem willing to go all-in or give up multiple valuable assets to get the former MVP, and rightfully so.

If anything, the Sixers need to come to terms with the fact that they won’t get an equal return for their disgruntled player.

This is just getting started, and having an angry Harden in the locker room isn’t good for anybody, and especially not for Joel Embiid, who’s also been tangled up in some trade rumors as of late.

Morey has reportedly set a steep asking price for Harden, and it would be hard to envision any team in the league being willing to go the extra mile to trade for him.

Still, it’s even harder to think of him as a member of the Sixers organization anymore.
