The Sixers had a very tumultuous few months before the opening of the new season.
It all started with the firing of head coach Doc Rivers after another disappointing postseason.
Of course, things were then taken up a notch when Harden demanded a trade from the team.
The rest of the summer break was bogged down with rumors and endless drama surrounding Harden.
Joel Embiid didn’t make it any better when his public statements led to speculation about him possibly leaving the team in the future.
Everything eventually settled down, Harden was traded, and Embiid seems incredibly happy with his team now.
He recently touched upon Philadelphia’s early success and noted that no one on the roster has an ego, everyone is playing together with a shared goal in mind.
They currently lead the East with an exceptional 6-1 record.
Seeing Philadelphia play well isn’t too shocking considering they’ve been playoff contenders for years now.
But seeing them play this well after such a hectic and unpredictable summer is a bit of a surprise – and a welcome one to fans.
