During his many years in the NBA, Isaiah Thomas has played against some of the biggest names in the game.
But one player rivals them all in terms of competitiveness.
Speaking to the ‘’Knuckleheads’’ show, per The Players’ Tribune, Thomas said that Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors presented quite a challenge to him.
He admitted that Curry had a lot to prove at the start of his career.
Plus, Thomas’ Sacramento Kings and the Warriors had a little Bay Area rivalry at that point, which hasn’t changed too much.
‘‘Curry. That was one – that was a tough one,’’ Thomas admitted
“Curry. That was one — that was a tough one.”

Thomas got his start with the Kings, where he averaged 15.3 points and 4.8 assists per game.
It was during that time that he got to show what he was made of, and also duke it out with a few up-and-coming stars.
Curry was one of those stars.
When he first entered the league, the Warriors weren’t fearsome by any standard and most teams were not concerned with them.
It would take a few years before Golden State was a team that others were afraid of.
But Thomas saw Curry’s talent up close in those first few seasons and he tried his best to bully him and get the best of him.
Most of the time, it didn’t work.
Since then, Curry has become one of the biggest players of all time and now everyone knows what Thomas did back then: he was someone to take seriously.
