Fans and analysts seem to debate the same things when it comes to sports.
While there isn’t much overlap between conversations about the NBA, MLB, NFL, and NHL, there is one common topic and question for people to answer.
That question is about the best player of all time for a particular sport.
This has been debated for many years, especially in the NBA.
Many people call Michael Jordan the best player in league history, while others say it’s LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, or a list of other dominant players.
According to the NBA on ESPN, Isiah Thomas recently declared James to be the best basketball player of all time.
“There’s never been another player like [LeBron James]… So to me, he’s the best that I’ve ever seen from a team standpoint and also as a basketball player,” James said.

James holds the record for most career points in the NBA, and has won four championships, is a four-time MVP winner, and is a 20-time All-Star.
He certainly has the credentials to be given this honor, but at the end of the day, it is difficult to definitively say who is the best of all time.
Playing in different eras usually comes into this conversation, as does the competition that a player faces throughout their career.
This conversation isn’t going anywhere in the near future, so it will be interesting to see if any other players enter the fold to put their hat in the ring.
