It’s been a while since NFL fans last saw J.J. Watt wreaking havoc on the field.

The former Houston Texans star retired from the game after enduring multiple injuries, and he’s been quite active on social media ever since.

That’s why he put Twitter in shambles when he posted a cryptic message about having a few different things cooking right now, adding the hashtag #UpToSomethingSZN and a GIF of The Pat McAfee Show.

Needless to say, the social network was flooded by speculation, with some asking him whether he’d join the show or if he was going to put together a podcast of his own.

Pat McAfee recently signed a big deal with ESPN, so there’s a chance that Watt will be a part of the new era of the show.

McAfee confirmed that he would still get creative control over the show and its guests, although he would take the F-bombs down a notch.

So, adding Watt — a beloved and respected member of the league — could perhaps help him have a more family-friendly show.

Watt is indeed going through a lot of positive stuff right now, as he’ll also be inducted into the Houston Texans Ring of Honor next season.

He was one of the most disruptive and dominant defensive forces in the league in his prime.

And even though he was never able to lead the Texans the distance and he struggled with multiple ailments toward the end of his career, he still went down as one of the best defensive players of his generation.
