New York Giants’ quarterback Daniel Jones’ body must have been sore following their disappointing Week 4 Monday Night Football performance.
Aside from putting up only three points, it seems like he spent most of his time on the ground due to the poor play of the offensive line.
The Giants’ offensive line gave up 11 sacks.
Three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt had an opportunity to break the film from that game during his recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
While he’s thrilled with what the Seahawks defense accomplished, he also pointed out how the Giants offensive line disappointed Jones.
“Watch this pocket right here. This pocket just absolutely breaks down. I mean, it’s just like a wet paper bag right here,” Watt said as a sequence from the game was being played.
“Where do you want Daniel Jones to go here and what do you want him to do..
As a pass rusher this looks like A LOT of fun”@JJWatt #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/MaEAQIFzPn

He mentioned that four defensive players are within Jones’ vicinity one second after the snap.
That quick of a collapse turns into a disaster.
Hence, Jones was sacked to end the down, giving him no time to let a play develop.
The former Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals defensive end also shared that the catastrophe starts to snowball once an offensive line gives up a string of sacks.
Because they are losing possessions, the opponents have more opportunities to score.
If they do score, the losing team must resort to more pass plays to catch up.
Defenses are aware of this scenario, giving them more time to get to the quarterback who’s dropping back to throw.
The Giants must find solutions to this mess before their Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins.
