The Kansas City Chiefs entered the season with a brand new offensive line, and while it should do quite well, even without Orlando Brown Jr., it was clear that they needed some more time to clean up some things.
They’re not in full sync, and several of them jumped right before the snap, yet the referees failed to keep them in check.
That’s why former Houston Texans star J.J. Watt took to Twitter to address the matter, stating that the team will obviously continue to do that if the referees don’t throw a flag.
Watch closely, many offensive tackles jump the snap count and leave just before the ball is actually snapped.
It’s a little thing, but makes a huge difference.
Refs generally let it slide.
As long as they don’t call it, I’d keep doing it too if I was them.

Watt claims that, even though it’s a little thing, it can actually make a huge difference in every play.
Unfortunately for Andy Reid’s team, that wasn’t enough to beat the Detroit Lions in the season opener.
Patrick Mahomes didn’t have his best players on the field, as Travis Kelce sat out with a hyperextended knee.
He completed passes to 11 different receivers, but none of them even cracked the 50-yard plateau.
Drops, mishaps, and facing an inspired Lions defense took a toll on the Chiefs’ otherwise explosive passing game.
The offensive line also struggled to keep star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson in check, and while there should be no shame in failing to contain one of the best young defenders in the league, that could be a major issue going forward for Mahomes and company.
As for the referees, it didn’t take long before the fans exposed them and complained about them on social media, just like it happens every season.
