The Houston Texans weren’t expected to be this good so quickly, yet they find themselves in the Divisional Round of the 2023 NFL Season.

The Texans beat the Cleveland Browns 45-14 in the Wild Card Round, showing the league that they should be taken much more seriously.

Houston controlled the game against Cleveland almost from the jump, moving the ball efficiently while suffocating Joe Flacco defensively.

The star of the day was CJ Stroud who didn’t look like a rookie playing in his first postseason game.

Stroud was efficient in the win, completing 16 of his 21 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns.

Houston and Stroud now head on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens and Jadaveon Clowney had high praise for the rookie via Around The NFL.

“He just doesn’t look like a rookie quarterback out there,” Clowney said. “He’s making smart decisions with his passing and putting those guys in good situations.”

Stroud has been a revelation in his first season in the league, showing the arm talent and poise in the pocket that made him such a great prospect.

However, Stroud’s also shown a knack for making plays when the team needs them the most and that’s what separates him from the other quarterbacks in his draft class.

Clowney and the rest of the Ravens’ defense is far more equipped to slow down Stroud than the Browns were, but the signal caller is no ordinary rookie.

Stroud can make almost any throw on the field, so Baltimore’s got to be at its best to keep the Texans from putting up too many points.
