Jadeveon Clowney Sends A Clear Message About Panthers

Not so long ago, Jadeveon Clowney was considered to be the next big thing in the NFL.

He was an unstoppable force in college and was projected to be the next great disruptive pass rusher.

That didn’t turn out to be the case, but he’s still an above-average EDGE defender who could make a big impact on any defense.

Still, he reached a point in his career in which he started taking other factors into consideration when choosing his next destination.

That’s why he decided to go back home and join the Carolina Panthers once and for all.

The Panthers were the worst team in the league last season, but Clowney doesn’t see that happening again in 2024.

Talking to the media, he claimed that he’s been a part of winning teams for his entire career, and that’s not going to change at this point in his career (via Joe Person).

Notably, it’ll take a whole lot for that to be the case, at least in 2024.

While there’s always a chance that a team will go through a major turnaround like the Houston Texans, that just doesn’t seem likely at this point.

Clowney had admitted that he had turned down multiple opportunities to head back home earlier in his career, and the timing was just right this time.

He’s inching closer to the final steps of his career, and he may have a tough time in Carolina if he intends to be on a winning football team this season.
