The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the offseason looking to keep some of their best players around.

They got the ball rolling by locking up star DE Josh Hines Allen on a multi-year deal and then inked QB Trevor Lawrence to a very lucrative extension.

Now, another homegrown player has gotten the nod.

According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, star CB Tyson Campbell has agreed to sign a four-year contract extension worth a whopping $76.5 million.

The deal also includes $53.4 million in effectively guaranteed salary.

This puts him near the top of the highest-paid defensive backs in the game, and this was the largest deal for a cornerback in 2024.

He’s the sixth-highest cornerback in the game, and he got slightly more money than L’Jarius Sneed got with the Tennesee Titans.

Campbell was a second-round pick in 2021 and was about to enter the final year of his rookie contract.

With this move, he’ll be tied to the team through the 2028 season at the very least.

Campbell has been one of the best players on Doug Pederson’s team.

As of now, he’s logged 203 tackles, 30 passes defensed, six interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 43 career appearances.
