Jalen Brunson has been a breath of fresh air for the New York Knicks over the past few years.
He took a giant leap in production during the 2023-2024 season, solidifying himself as a superstar.
Brunson is well-recognized as one of the top, rising players in the NBA, and hopes to keep growing, both with his on-court skills and with other intangibles as well.
The Knicks named him as a captain ahead of the 2024-2025 campaign, a massive honor, especially considering the historic nature of the organization.
For some players, captaincy might feel like a lot of pressure, but Brunson seems to be very excited about this role.

Being a captain gives players a unique voice in the locker room.
It allows them to be a more established leader, and it’s a sign that their teammates trust them to do the right thing, on the court and off.
Brunson does not take this position lightly and will do whatever he can to honor his new role.
The Knicks started to build something special last year, making it to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
Brunson was a big part of their push to get to that point and is slated to be a massive contributor for the foreseeable future.
He took a team-friendly deal to stay with the Knicks, indicating just how loyal he is to the organization and what they are building.
