During his last season with the Dallas Mavericks, point guard Jalen Brunson showed just how talented he was as he appeared to be the perfect partner alongside superstar Luka Doncic.
As a result of his breakout year in Dallas, Brunson was able to secure a deal with the New York Knicks, which was a questionable move at first, but now looks like a fortunate twist of fate as he has become a legitimate star in this league and the new face of the storied franchise.
After becoming part of a one-two punch with fellow star Julius Randle in New York last season, Brunson has taken his game to another level this season while earning his first All-Star selection.
Even though it’s no easy task to win over the Knicks faithful in the country’s biggest market, Brunson has done just that while being a fan favorite and beloved member of the team.
On Friday, the newly dubbed All-Star thanked the fans of the Knicks on Twitter for all their support.

With Brunson playing at a high level once again this season, he has the Knicks sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference with an impressive record of 32-17 behind the Milwaukee Bucks (32-16) and Boston Celtics (37-12).
If Brunson can continue playing at an All-Star level while leading and inspiring this Knicks team, New York could become a serious threat in the East and a potential title contender.
With the Knicks sensing that a championship window may be open, the team has been aggressive in making moves and might make another ahead of the NBA trade deadline on February 8.
