The Philadelphia Eagles went to great lengths to get their franchise quarterback.
Against all odds, they went with Jalen Hurts in the NFL Draft, even though they still had Carson Wentz under contract.
Wentz played his way off the team, and the early returns of Hurts’ tenure at the helm weren’t exactly impressive.
But the organization decided to stay by their young QB, and he paid that confidence back by having an outstanding, MVP-caliber season in 2022.
Notably, that season has already granted Hurts a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, regardless of how his career pans out.
They now have his jersey from his Week 14 game versus the New York Giants on display, as it marked the game in which he became the first quarterback to log 10+ rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons in the history of this league.

Hurts took a major leap forward last season, silencing his critics and proving that he could be the franchise QB the Eagles always thought he could be.
He made the most of the weapons at his disposal and led the team to the Super Bowl, even putting up 35 points in the loss.
Hurts is now lining up for a massive payday, and the Eagles won’t hesitate to give him the money he’s earned with his outstanding play, even if that means driving the QB market even higher.
Hopefully, he’ll keep up that great play, and that jersey won’t be the last to make it to Canton once it’s all said and done.
