Throughout the course of NFL history, people have argued whether wins should be considered a quarterback stat.

While most people can agree that we’re talking about a team sport, and as such, wins shouldn’t be credited solely to the signal-caller, we’ve seen multiple big-name players struggle and hurt their teams when the lights are the brightest.

Notably, that hasn’t been the case with Jalen Hurts in his young career.

As pointed out by NFL insider James Palmer, the Philadelphia Eagles star is now 10-0 against teams with a winning record since 2022.

Jalen Hurts is now 10-0 against teams with a winning record since 2022. That’s best among all QBs with 5+ such starts since 2022. Hurts is also 12-1 including the playoffs, with his lone loss vs KC in Super Bowl LVII

He adds that he now has the best record among all QBs with 5+ such starts over that span.

If that wasn’t enough, the Oklahoma product is 12-1 in those situations if you include the playoffs, with his lone loss coming vs. the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.

Hurts and the Eagles have risen to the occasion more often than not.

They’re the kind of team that looks to make a statement when facing elite competition, as opposed to some of their rivals, who often crumble under pressure.

Hurts is one of the highest earners in the league, and while he has slightly regressed since his MVP-caliber season from last year, he has still been quite solid for Nick Sirianni’s team this season.

The Eagles have the best record in the league at 8-1, and they’ll have a rematch with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs up next in one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, and he’ll look to make that 11-0.
