For years, the NBA GOAT debate has flooded social media.
Some believe Michael Jordan is the best to ever do it, while others lean towards LeBron James, with the rest of the fans mentioning guys like Kobe Bryant, Bill Russell, Tim Duncan, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, among others.
Nonetheless, most players tend to believe that Jordan is the one and only greatest player of all time.
Unsurprisingly, that list includes Jalen Rose, who got to play against him.
That’s why he recently took to Twitter to claim that the league should retire the No. 23 jersey to honor the legendary Chicago Bulls player.
#23 should be retired throughout the entire NBA!!! Thoughts??

Truth be told, that’s not a bad idea at all.
Pat Riley and the Miami Heat did it already, retiring Jordan’s jersey even despite the fact that he never actually played for that organization.
Also, the league recently retired Bill Russell’s number, so it’s not like this has never been done before.
Even if some don’t believe that Jordan is the best to ever do it, he’s perhaps the most impactful and inspirational player of all time, as he made the league global and plenty of the greatest players of all time molded their game to his — or at least, they tried.
Most NBA fans wouldn’t complain if the league were to make such a decision, and they shouldn’t wait until one of their legends dies before honoring them and acknowldeging everything they did for the game and its history.
