It took him a while, but Jamal Adams is officially back in the National Football League.

Once considered to be a star, the often-injured safety had been a free agent for quite a while.

Now, according to a report by Turron Davenport of ESPN, he’s officially agreed to terms on a deal to join the Tennessee Titans.

The #Titans have agreed to terms with safety Jamal Adams. Adams is reunited with Dennard Wilson who was his DB coach during Pro Bowl seasons in 2018,2019.

As of now, the length and financial details of the agreement haven’t been disclosed.

Davenport notes that this move will allow Adams to be reunited with Dennard Wilson, who was his defensive backs coach back in 2018 and 2019.

Now, serving as his new defensive coordinator, Wilson will look to get him back to his Pro Bowl shape from those years.

Adams entered the league as the No. 6 overall pick by the New York Jets, spending the first three years of his career in New York.

He became a marquee name at the safety position and was eventually traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

Injuries prevented him from being at his best, and he didn’t play that well when he was actually able to suit up for them.

The Titans put an emphasis on revamping their secondary defense this offseason, trading for CB L’Jarius Sneed and signing CB Chidobe Awuzie.

And with no clear starter at safety, it only made sense that they dared to take a chance on a talent like Adams, who will also look to prove that he still belongs in the league.
