Just the other day, decorated NBA Sixth Man of the Year winner Lou Williams spoke about his place in history and his eligibility for the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Speaking of himself and retired star Jamal Crawford, Williams said he definitely thinks they both deserve a spot in the Hall.

“I think the Hall of Fame is what you bring to the table and being the best at what you do in the realm of basketball. I think we all did that,” Williams said, according to NBACentral.

On Monday afternoon, Crawford gave Williams a shout-out.

“Speak on it Lou,” Crawford said on Twitter.

Crawford made a good point about his impact on the game.

He said that he and Crawford definitely “contributed” to the NBA and it’s hard to argue against that.

During his 17 years in the league, Williams earned an impressive three Sixth Man of the Year trophies.

As for Crawford, he also picked up three of those trophies too.

The thing about being a celebrated sixth man is that players who earn that title are often overlooked when it comes to the Hall of Fame and other discussions about the best players of all time.

They are sometimes the unsung heroes of the league.

Both Williams and Crawford were undeniably important for the number of teams they played for.

They showed that bench players could be just as important as starters.

Diehard NBA fans are very familiar with what both Williams and Crawford did during their careers.

Does that mean that one or both of them will someday get a spot in the Hall of Fame?
