Just last week, there was news that Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets was under the weather and might not be able to perform well against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Fans were worried they’d get less of Murray and that he wouldn’t help his team.

They clearly had nothing to be concerned about.

Murray had an incredible run during the series against LA, which ended Monday night.

SportsCenter pointed out that he is the first player to ever average 30 points on 50% from the field, 40% from the three-point line, and 90% from the free-throw line in a Conference Finals.

This latest string of success caps what was a strong bounce-back year from Murray.

He missed all of last season due to injury and it wasn’t clear how well he’d do back on the floor with his Nuggets.

For the season, Murray averaged 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists a game on 45.4% from the floor and 39.8% from downtown.

This is Murray’s third time in the playoffs but it is definitely his most important.

The team has now reached the NBA Finals for the first time in their history and they have a very good chance of winning their first ring.

Although many people think about the Nuggets as Nikola Jokic’s team, Murray’s latest performances remind them that he’s a huge part of their success too.

They wouldn’t be in this position without him, especially thanks to his amazing three-point shooting.

Fans are excited because Murray has only gotten better as the postseason has gone on.

His games against the Lakers were his best yet.

Now people are wondering if he will play even better on the biggest stage in the NBA.
