The 2023-24 NBA season starts on Tuesday night and the first game of the season will be quite a match.
The reigning champion Denver Nuggets will face off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night and fans are eager to see if it’ll look anything like the recent Western Conference Finals.
Jamal Murray is ready to play but he’s paying no mind to his opponent.
He was asked by Katy Winge, via Basketball On X, if he cares that his team is playing the Lakers and Murray responded with a chuckle and a smile.
“No…I just go play basketball and have fun,” he said.

There is a lot of interest in this first game of the season, despite what Murray feels.
Obviously, the last time the two teams met was at the end of last season, as the Nuggets swept the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
Since then, the Lakers have added even more depth and power to their roster.
As for the Nuggets, they have mostly remained the same and are still favorites among many to return to the Finals.
But the Lakers are seen as a legitimate threat now.
There has been a lot of noise surrounding these teams, mostly because of some comments by a few players as well as head coaches Darvin Ham and Mike Malone.
Some fans feel that a new rivalry is building between the Nuggets and Lakers.
On Tuesday night, the Nuggets will get a chance to remind the world that they’re the best team in the NBA.
And the Lakers will be able to show what all their changes and upgrades can do.
