The Denver Nuggets and Jamal Murray have always been a match made in heaven.
He’s one of the most underrated players in the game, yet he’s proven to be a tailor-made fit next to Nikola Jokic.
As a matter of fact, more often than not, they’ve gone deep into the playoffs when he’s been healthy, even winning the NBA championship two seasons ago.
That’s why his future with the Nuggets organization has never been in actual doubt.
However, we’ve seen crazy things happen in the league, and nothing is officially official until the ink dries on the paper — and, sometimes, not even then.
With that in mind, Troy Renck of The Denver Post asked him about his contract extension talks with the Nuggets, but Murray wasn’t focused on that at the moment.

The Canadian guard claimed that he’s only thinking about the national team, so he’s only going to think and talk about his future with the Nuggets when the time comes.
Murray is entering the final year of his contract, but it doesn’t seem like the Nuggets would even consider moving on from him right now.
The 27-year-old could become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, yet it should be just a matter of time before they work things out.
The Nuggets locked in their championship core for the future, meaning that they must have the same plans for their second-best player.
Murray is one of the best playoff performers in the game and has earned his stripes and his money in the league.
