The Denver Nuggets had a lot of unsung heroes throughout their NBA Finals run during the 2022-2023 season.

Nikola Jokic was the centerpiece of the franchise, putting up monster numbers in each postseason game.

However, Jamal Murray also had quite the postseason run, making history, as he has recently found out.

According to Swipa Cam, Murray was only the third player in the history of the NBA to achieve elite numbers.

Murray averaged 25-plus points per game, five assists per game, and five rebounds, shooting at least 39% from three and 90% from the free-throw line.

Murray reacted to these stats with an emoji that indicates the quiet nature of his dominance.

When looking at these stats, Murray is in elite company.

Only Larry Bird and Steph Curry have achieved these numbers, two of the best players in the history of the NBA.

Murray was consistently touted as an excellent role-player on this roster, a great ‘Robin’ to Jokic’s ‘Batman.’

However, these stats indicate that Murray should enter a more significant conversation, considering him a star player alongside Jokic rather than just a running mate.

Murray is tied to the Nuggets for two more seasons, earning over $30 million per season over the next two years.

Given his brilliance throughout the playoffs, there is reason to believe he could receive a massive extension after that.

If Murray can keep up his elite play, there’s little doubt that he can get a contract as massive as Jaylen Brown’s, if not larger.
