Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner is ready to go for 2024.
In fact, the two-time Pro Bowl back believes last season, which was a career year for him on the ground, can be his floor.
“That’s the floor. I want that to be the lowest I rush for in my career going forward,” Conner recently told Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.
The former Steeler rushed for 1,040 yards last season, which was the first time that he put up over 1,000 yards on the ground in his seven-year career.

If Conner can rush for more yards in 2024 in beyond, teams might want to be on the lookout for Arizona.
Despite rushing for over 1,000 for the first time just last season, Conner has been a very productive player that hasn’t gotten a ton of recognition.
He has recorded over 1,000 scrimmage yards and at least eight total touchdowns in four of his seven NFL seasons dating back to his time with the Steelers.
Not only did he set a career-high in rushing in 2023, but he also put up over 1,200 scrimmage yards for the second time.
The best season of his Arizona career came back in 2021 when he put up 1,127 yards and a career-high 18 total touchdowns.
Quarterback Kyler Murray, especially with a relatively young and inexperienced offense around him, is going to look to Conner a lot in 2024 to step up.
Other than first-round wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., the team doesn’t have a ton of headlining names.
It will be up to Conner to provide some juice for this team.
