The Los Angeles Clippers have now lost six straight games, five of those with James Harden on the court.
Putting all the blame on just one player is not fair or accurate, and he’s had some glimpses of solid play.
That’s why, despite all the struggles and the disappointing start to this new passage in his career, Harden is still not worried.
The former MVP recently told the AP that he’s still learning on the fly after not having a training camp with the team, and he’s getting into ‘James Harden’ shape, adding that the loss to the Denver Nuggets was a step in the right direction (via NBA Central).
James Harden says he’s still trying to get into ‘James Harden shape’
“I kept reiterating, I didn’t have a training camp or a preseason, so kind of learning on the fly. Also getting myself into James Harden shape. [Last night] was definitely another step in the right direction… pic.twitter.com/uCcdmMcuNM

Harden skipped most of training camp with the Philadelphia 76ers as he tried to push his way out so that part of him getting into ‘James Harden shape’ is pretty much his fault.
As for the Clippers, it’s only normal to see a team struggle after going through such a major personnel change.
Coach Tyronn Lue stated that he’d give this starting lineup a few tries before looking to make any changes, and that time may have come.
Russell Westbrook might as well be the odd man out and demoted to the bench, as he’s not efficient just standing around in a corner while Harden dribbles out the clock.
The Clippers obviously have the potential to be one of the most — if not the most — dominant teams in the league, even if none of their stars are in their prime anymore.
But it’ll take time and patience, which is something not many NBA teams usually have.
