The NBA offseason has been full of player movement via both free agency and trades.

But there are still a few star players that have asked out of their current situation.

They are Damian Lillard and James Harden.

Both have asked to be traded and it will be interesting to see how far they will go to make that happen.

It appears that the Philadelphia 76ers are hoping to repair their relationship with Harden and bring him back for another season.

According to Jake Fischer via NBA Central, Harden is expected to report to the Sixers’ training camp.

This is great news for those in Philly that still want Harden a part of their team.

While he is no longer the elite scorer we saw in his Houston days, Harden can still be an effective player.

He is a good distributor and seems to work well with Joel Embiid.

Also, the 76ers do not seem thrilled with any of the trade packages they have been offered for Harden.

Most teams are not willing to part with top assets for an aging veteran.

The 76ers were one win away from hosting the Eastern Conference Finals last season.

With Nick Nurse as the head coach the Sixers hope he can help get them over the hump.

The only team that has shown interest in Harden is the Los Angeles Clippers.

But their trade package has been underwhelming.

It remains a strong possibility that Harden is back with the 76ers when the 23-24 season tips off.
